Introduction to the Projects Overview Tab within a project

The first and most important part of a project starts with a proposal, however, we understand that once a project kicks off there is a lot to keep track of. With the project overview page, we’ve made it even easier to manage your projects.

keep track of outstanding payments, upcoming dates and deadlines, and even your scope breakdown all in one view. This article will provide you with a full breakdown of all of the parts of the project overview page.

Your project proposal overview page includes the following sections:

  • Event Calendar

  • Invoices overview

  • Proposal Breakdown

  • Client Contacts

  • Project Duration

Event Calendar

The most visible new feature on the project overview page is the event calendar. Keep a detailed track of all major project events such as when the proposal was sent and accepted, project phase start dates, and invoice updates for sent or scheduled invoices. Each event will be color-coded on the calendar and you will be able to see more details of the event on the table below the calendar.

Invoices Overview

The invoices overview section provides you not only with a breakdown of payments received vs. payments owed but also a breakdown of the invoices by status and value. Each invoice status is labeled with a specific color and you can view their impact on the pie chart. This graph updates automatically as you make updates to your invoices and you can create, edit, or mark invoices as paid within the invoice tab of your proposal or on the invoices page.

Proposal Breakdown

The proposal breakdown section will give you a quick breakdown of your proposal by phase and the value of each phase. Each phase will be labeled with their individual color which will reflect on the pie chart. With the pie chart, you can see how much value each phase compares to the other and what weight they hold on your proposal.

Client Contacts

We know that your clients may have various points of contact for different aspects of their projects. Keeping your client’s information up-to-date is always crucial to ensure that your proposal and invoices are going to the right people. Whether it's an accounts payable contact responsible for ensuring timely payments or other key stakeholders, our system allows you to maintain a record of all relevant contacts and edit any crucial information. Click on the ellipses next to each email address or click on the plus sign to add more contact points to your client card.

Project Duration

The project duration section records the status updates of your proposal with the day the proposal was created, the date the proposal was signed and accepted, and the completion date. The created date is automatically added when you start your proposal. Both the won and the completed dates are editable for you to manage your proposal timeline and you can choose either the + sign to add a date or click on the edit icon to update any dates. The date won will also be updated if the proposal is signed and accepted.

Remember that the Project Overview page updates as you update your project. These changes will also reflect on the other data graphs throughout your account like those on the analytics page. Keeping your projects up-to-date is the key to making sure that all the data presented to you allows you to make better business decisions and earn more.
