1. When will I receive my Wethos card?

Once you’ve opened your Wethos Payments Account, you can request a physical debit card. Cards are shipped via USPS with an expected delivery within 6 - 8 days after the card is ordered. You can expedite the shipment via Fedex for an additional fee with the options for Priority Overnight, Standard Overnight, and Two-day shipping. This timing also applies to a replacement card that you may order.

If you want to start using your card ASAP, you can use your virtual card.

2. What's a virtual card?

Virtual cards are unique card numbers that allow you to transact on your main card account without use of your physical card. They are primarily used for online purchases and do not have to be activated for use. You can enjoy more flexibility and follow-up for your online recurring (or one-time) business purchases: business trips, subscriptions, office supplies, etc. They also have the same expiration date as physical cards, but are automatically renewed upon expiration.

You can request a virtual debit card by going to My Money >> Cards >> click “request a debit card.” Choose “virtual card” on the next window to ensure you receive a virtual card on your account.

3. Can I request both a virtual and physical card?

Of course! You can use both cards to distinguish your payments in-store and online.

You can request both virtual and physical cards by going to My Money and clicking the Cards page. “Request a debit card” and the next screen will give you the option to choose one or both card types.

4. Where can I find my card details and activity?

View Card Details on Cards Page

Navigate to My Money and the Cards Page to view your physical and virtual card details, if applicable.

View Card Activity on Transactions Page

Navigate to My Money and the Transactions Page to view all of your account and card activities. You can filter the view by transaction type (inbound vs. outbound) and by date range.

5. How can I activate my Wethos card?

To activate your physical Wethos debit card, call the toll-free number on the back of your card (1-844-909-1623). You will be required to select a 4-digit personal identification number (PIN) for security purposes prior to using the card for the first time.

Your activation and use of the Card means that you agree to the terms and conditions described in this agreement.

Your virtual Wethos debit card is activated immediately upon request.

6. Where can I use my Wethos cards?

You can use your card at any ATM and outside of the US where Visa is accepted! Though Wethos doesn’t charge a fee for ATM transactions, an ATM or vendor may charge a fee.

1. How can I use my Wethos Card?

It’s YOUR Card

This card is only for your use. You may not request an additional card for another person. If you give anyone else access to your card, we will treat any transaction they initiate as authorized by you, and you will be responsible for all transactions and fees that occur.

You can use your Wethos virtual and physical cards for business purposes only and cannot be used for personal, household or family purposes.

ATMS and Retail Withdrawals

With your PIN, you can use your card to draw available funds from your account from any ATM or point-of-sale (POS) device in the US that displays the Visa, VisaATM, Interlink, or Accel acceptance marks. Note that not all merchants will allow you to get cash back through their POS devices and some ATMs may charge a fee (though Wethos does not.)

Split Transactions

You can tell a merchant to charge your card for part of a purchase and pay any remaining amount with cash or another card. Some merchants do not permit these “split transactions.” If they do, you must tell the merchant the exact amount you’d like charged to your card. If you fail to let the merchant know you’d like to complete a split transaction and/or you don’t have sufficient available funds in your account to cover the entire purchase amount, your card will likely be declined.

Virtual Debit Card

When you open an account, you’ll also receive a Virtual Card represented by a 16-digit card number, a 3-digit card verification value (“CVV”) number, and an expiration date. The Virtual Card is separate from your physical card and can be managed through teams.wethos.co. The Virtual Card accesses the available funds in your account to make card-not-present transactions anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted in the same way as your physical debit card. We will issue you a replacement Virtual Card when it expires.

Your use of the Virtual Card is subject to the terms of this agreement, including transaction limitations, to the same extent as your physical card.

Foreign Transactions

When using your card outside of the US, charges from foreign merchants and financial institutions may be made in a foreign currency. We will bill you in U.S. dollars based on the exchange rate on the day we settle the transaction, plus any special currency exchange charges that may be imposed by the Visa network and/or by any third-party used to complete the transaction.

Regardless of whether the transaction is made in foreign currency or in US dollars, additional fees may apply to all international transactions using your card. Since Wethos doesn’t impose a fee, any fees applied elsewhere are outside of our control.

Additional Benefits from Visa and Fraud Alerts Program

Your Card may also be eligible for certain benefits provided by Visa. Please see the Visa Debit Card Benefits Guide for a full description of all additional benefits to which you may be eligible, specifically Visa Zero Liability Benefits. You are also eligible for Visa’s Fraud Alerts Program.

2. Can I use my card internationally, outside of the US?

Yes! You can use your Wethos card when traveling outside the US anywhere Visa is accepted. Keep in mind that Wethos does not charge a fee for international transactions, but there may be a foreign transaction fee from 3rd party vendors for use of your card abroad.

3. What are my spending and withdrawal limits?

You may use your card to access funds up to the amount of your Available Balance in your Account.

4. Where can I withdraw cash?

Your Wethos physical card will work at any ATM that displays the Visa, VisaATM, Interlink, or Accel acceptance marks. Locate an ATM near you here.

5. What are the fees for using my card?

Account

There are no fees to open an account!

Withdrawals

Wethos doesn’t charge you any withdrawal fees when using an ATM or transferring money to/from an account you’ve linked to Wethos. An ATM or 3rd party vendor may charge you a fee, which is outside of our control.

International

We do not charge additional fees for international POS (point of sale) or ATM transactions, currency conversions, international ATM withdrawal, ATM transactions, or card replacements. An ATM or 3rd party vendor may charge you a fee, which is outside of our control.

1. What do I do if my card was lost or stolen?

Freeze your card immediately in your Wethos Payments Account if you believe your card has been lost or stolen.

You can request a new card by reaching out to us at [email protected]. Cards are shipped via USPS with expected delivery within 6 - 8 days after the card is ordered. You can expedite the shipment via Fedex for an additional fee with the options for Priority Overnight, Standard Overnight, and Two-day shipping.

2. How do I freeze or unfreeze my card?

Steps to freeze or unfreeze your card:

  1. Go to My Money and click on the Cards page.

  2. Click the 3 dots on your card and choose “Freeze.” We also recommend choosing “Report Lost” or “Report Stolen” depending on your situation.

  3. Reach out to us at [email protected] for any additional help.

3. How do I change my card PIN?

Call the toll-free number on the back of your physical card (1-844-909-1623) to contact VISA and change your PIN number.

4. My card was declined. What do I do?

First, don’t panic. Second, check your available balance in your account on the My Money page. If you notice anything fishy, call the number on the back of your card (1-844-909-1623) to troubleshoot any issues with VISA.

5. I have a card-related issue that needs immediate attention.

For any issues related to your card, including

  • My card is lost or stolen

  • My transaction didn’t go through

  • I want to dispute a transaction
