Welcome to the new flexible and personalized payment options for your invoices. We're excited to guide you through the process of setting up our new payment methods, including Venmo, Stripe, PayPal, and more to start accepting payments for all of the hard work that you do. These options offer you enhanced flexibility and convenience for accepting and managing payment.
Every platform is different, but we are here to make things easier for you and help you get your payment methods in your account all set up and how you can personalize each one of your invoices! If you have a favorite platform in mind you can navigate directly to it through the links below.
Important Note: On May 14th, 2024 Wethos will no longer be offering the Wethos Payments Account services. If you have a Wethos Payments Account and choose to activate these payment options before that date, you will only be able to accept payments through these new payment options and not through your Wethos Account. However, you will still be able to see your Wethos Payments Account information and make transactions, such as withdrawals, and download statements.
We recommend that you download all necessary statements and withdraw your funds before May 14th, 2024.
Payment Methods:
Getting started is simple, head over to your account settings and select the options that you want to add the links to your account. You’ll be asked to provide your payment link (https://paypal.me/leodvi) or your account handle (@leodvi) to enable these payment methods. Below you will find instructions for each of the available payment methods. You can enable them all or just the ones you want to receive payments through. You can see an example of what your client will see at the bottom of this article.
PayPal:
You can include both your PayPal Handle and PayPal Payment Link to allow your client to be instantly routed to your PayPal page to submit a payment.
1. Head over to your PayPal account: Navigate to your account settings and copy your personal PayPal link under your name. You can also find your handle by selecting manage next to your payment link and copying your @handle that appears under your name.
2. Add your link or handle to the Wethos payment option
3. Click “save & enable” and you are all set
Stripe:
Stripe allows you to create a personal payment link to redirect your client to a direct payment link.
1. Follow the steps below to generate your Stripe Payment Link
2. Add your Payment Link to the Wethos payment option
3. Click “Save & enable” and your new link will now be available on your invoices.
Venmo:
Just like PayPal, you can include both your Venmo Handle and Venmo Payment Link to allow your client to be instantly routed to your PayPal page to submit a payment.
1. Head over to your Venmo account: Navigate to your account settings and select profile where you will find your handle under your name and your payment link right under that.
If you are using the mobile version of Venmo, you can select the “Me” icon on the bottom navigation menu and then you will find your handle under your name. If you want to find your payment link simply tap on the QR code and select the share icon under it.
2. Add your handle to the Wethos payment option
3. Click “save & enable” and you are all set
Bank Transfers & Checks:
For bank transfers and checks, you'll need to add your bank information to enable clients to send payments directly through their bank.
Head over to the accepted payments methods section within account settings and choose the option for bank transfers or checks. Enter your bank account details or check information, including account number, routing number, and any other required details for you to receive payments. When your client selects the bank transfer or check payment option, they will see the instructions on how to process the payment using your provided information.
It's important to note that each bank may have different procedures for processing bank transfers. We advise your clients to contact their bank directly for guidance on processing payments with your information.
More options:
Do you have another payment platform or preferred form of payment not listed above? No worries We have you covered! Simply add the payment instruction details under more options and include a payment link or handle if you have one for your clients to follow.
Disabling Payment Options
You can disable your payment options at any time by opening the individual option you wish to disable and clicking on the disable button on the bottom right. You will be asked to confirm before the payment option is fully disabled. You can always re-enable these options through your account settings at any time.
How Will Invoices Look After You Enable These Options:
Once you have sent your invoice to your client, they will be able to access it and pay you through the payment method of their choice.
Depending on the payment method that your client chooses, they can click on your Payment link and they will be redirected to the payment platform to send the payment to you, or they can also copy the payment handle to find you through their account.
If they choose the bank transfer or the check method, they can follow the instructions you provided them to send a payment.
