Welcome to the Projects page, where you can find a detailed analysis of all your projects and proposals. In addition to creating and managing your projects, you can track your project status and understand the relationship between project value and duration.
If you’re new to Wethos, you can start building your projects directly from the Projects page. For more detailed guidance, check out our Help Center articles on navigating your Projects Home or how to Create and Send Proposals. As you create and complete your first project or add to existing ones, you'll see your data graphs begin to display an analysis of your work.
Understanding What's New on Your Projects Page?
We wanted to make sure you had as much control over your business insights as possible. With the new project data graphs, you can gain valuable insights into your business performance by analyzing the status, duration, and value of your projects.
These graphs are instrumental in providing a comprehensive view of your project's lifecycle, from start to finish. They will help you identify patterns, potential bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring you can make data-driven decisions to optimize your project management process.
It’s important to keep all of your project information such as status and duration up-to-date so that these graphs provide you with the most accurate overview of your work.
Status By Creation Date
The status by Creation Date bar graph provides an overview of the project statuses based on the date it was started over the selected period. Monitor the different statuses for project leads, ongoing work (projects Won), completed projects, and projects that did not get signed by your potential client. Each status is represented by distinct colors, making it easy to see the progression of projects through your pipeline.
The table updates automatically as the status of your projects changes, ensuring you always have the most current information at your fingertips. You can learn more about how each status will affect the project at the bottom of this article.
Projects by Value vs Duration
Easily understand which projects have the highest return on your time. This graph will show you a comparison between what you charged vs how much time you spent on it, giving you insights into what projects are more lucrative and where you can optimize your efforts.
Managing your Projects and Data:
The projects table below the graphs provides you with a complete list of all of your projects and a quick overview of each project's key details, such as the name of the project, its current status, the client you are working with, the date the project was created, the duration of the project from when it was won to when it was completed, and it’s total value.
Sorting and Filtering Your Projects
You can organize your projects by sorting them based on different columns:
Project Name: Sort alphabetically (A-Z or Z-A).
Client Name: Sort alphabetically (A-Z or Z-A).
Status: Sort by project status (In Progress, Completed, etc.).
To filter your projects, use the filter options at the top of the Projects Page. You can filter by:
Client: Filter projects for specific clients.
Status: Filter by project status (In Progress, Completed, etc.)
You can manage and update all of this information for each project and sort or filter the table to find the projects you are looking for faster. Access each project by clicking on the project name or update the status and duration from this projects table. You can also use the ellipses next to the total project value to open the project options.
Wethos Pro⚡️ users can manage their project data using hover states. When you hover over a project on the Projects Page, quick action buttons will appear on the right side of the row, allowing you to efficiently manage your projects.
When you hover over a project, you’ll see the following options:
Edit Proposal: Opens the proposal editor for that project.
Duplicate: Copies the project and adds "(Copy)" to the project name.
Menu: Clicking this reveals more options:
Open: Opens the project overview page.
Edit Proposal: Opens the proposal editor.
Edit Duration: Adjusts the start and end dates of the project.
Duplicate: Duplicates the project as described above.
Add to My Templates: Saves the project as a template for future use.
Delete: Deletes the project after confirmation.
All of this data can be updated at any time, except for the project creation date and the date a project was signed and accepted by the client.
Remember, keeping the status and duration of your projects up-to-date provides a deeper insight into your business performance which will automatically be reflected in the graphs above.
Here's how different statuses impact your project durations:
Projects that are lost will not have a project duration displayed.
Once your project has been signed the duration will display the date of acceptance and to be decided (TBD) which will update when you mark your project as completed.
A completed project will display the date the proposal was accepted and the date when the status was manually switched as completed.
A lead will also not create a project duration date but it will allow you to add one by clicking on the plus sign on the duration column.
